Persian King was a costly failure in the week and makes a quick return to action, but in Celtic Vision, he face a rival who was a better hurdler than him and is almost certainly going to be a better chaser as well. Jonjo O'Neill has made a good start to the new season having fired in 13 winners so far (three in the last fortnight), and by the time this race comes around, he will almost certainly have added to that tally. Rated 115 over hurdles, Celtic Vision has the size to do well at this game and can prove too strong for Persian King, who's round at Newton Abbot was littered with errors. Jim Old's charge went into the Newton Abbot race fit from a couple of outings on the flat and may not be capable of that much improvement. Son Of A Gun is only a plater over hurdles and won't be good enough in this, while Burning Truth is well exposed, so this looks best left to Celtic Vision to make a winning debut over fences.
