Limonia, Caustic Wit and Desert Opal are the leading contenders here and Limonia is given the nod in a competitive affair. With two Hamilton wins and a Folkestone win to his credit recently as well as a narrow defeat, Limonia seems to be a step ahead of the handicapper. She is five pounds higher than her latest success here but can cope with that. Desert Opal has been running consistently of late, being placed twice and he looks a leading player here. He won the race last year when with David Chapman. Caustic Wit is rated fifteen pounds lower on the all weather than the turf and has been running well, with an Epsom success and three placed efforts since to his credit. His all weather displays have been encouraging at times so he has to be considered. Limonia can win again.
