Lucidus, Mantle and Casual Affair are the three to look at here and Lucidus gets the nod. Fourth on her Windsor debut, Mantle has been off the course since that run towards the end of last season. it was a very promising effort first time out and she clearly has ability. her breeding suggests she is a stayer, and the stable is firing on all cylinders. her absence from the track may mean she is a little rusty however. Breeding would suggest Casual Affair is more of a sprinter, but he is tried over a longer trip here. Placed at Nottingham last time at a good price, he may be seen to better effect over this trip. After showing little on his Pontefract debut, Lucidus put in a much improved performance at Pontefract on his next and most recent start, leading until close home and finishing second. He put his head in the air that day, but if he can be kept up to his work, Lucidus can lead them home.
