The London Gang was given a fine ride last time out by Joe Fanning and if the promising Louis-Philippe Beuzelin is on his toes then he is not one to rule out, but he has plenty to do at these weights and narrow preference is for SMOKEY RYE ahead of Lady Aspen and Gasat. George Baker's four-year-old has been kept busy of late, winning at Lingfield in a handicap on Tuesday before experiencing defeat in claiming company just 24 hours later. He has a good record on the all-weather, is entered with a tasty racing weight and can score for stable jockey Matthew Davies. Lady Aspen is a course and distance winner and the stable are in good form. She comes here on the back of a fairly disappointing run in February and she does have a decidedly modest strike-rate. Allmora Guru and Turkish Sultan have plenty to find at these weights and are both moderate, whilst Gasat has a good young jockey on-board. Andy Haynes' ex-Italian gelding has a fine strike-rate and has been in good form of late, albeit in slightly lesser company. He didn't impress however on his sole start here and is passed over in favour of Smokey Rye.
