Soaked is given the vote in Class G selling stakes with Torrent and Arrogant Prince the biggest dangers in a wide open affair. The 11-year-old is well drawn in stall 3 and is at his optimum trip so looks capable of a big run if he breaks well from the stalls. He was narrowly beaten by Torrent last time over this course and distance and although it's likely that there will not be much between them at the finish again, Tony Culhane takes over in the plate on Soaked and he has been on board on each of his last two wins. Culhane rode Torrent to his win last time and he is well drawn in stall 1 so has obvious claims of following up with George Duffield taking over in the saddle. Arrogant Prince is a course and distance winner who will try and break quickly and make all, and there are few better than Darryll Holland at dictating a race from the front. He has run out of steam over 6 furlongs in some of his recent runs but back at his best trip he should go close, although he has not been done any favours by being drawn in stall 10. Lone Piper and Hagley Park are both capable of going well if they can get anywhere near their best, but they disappoint more often than not and we are happy to stick with Soaked as our selection.
