This event will not take much winning and while John Gosden will not have too many in his yard rated at 61, Semelle De Vent should be capable of seeing off some moderate rivals with Bond Moonlight and Stage Two likely to be the ones to chase her home. The selection is a daughter of Sadlers Wells so anything she achieved as a 2-year-old was a bonus as she is sure to be better as a 3-year-old and her three juvenile runs showed enough promise to suggest she has race at this level in her. The Mark Johnston colt Stage Two was a major disappointing on his debut and while it is hard to ignore that blot on the copy book, he is related to plenty of winners in America and the likelihood is that he is capable of better than he has shown so far. Bond Moonlight has shown a fair level of form and is perhaps best judged on his second to Golden Quest over this trip. It is worth noting that Golden Quest has gone on to score since at Lingfield. Argent is stepped up in trip so could be interesting if the market vibes are positive, but for the winner we return to Semelle De Vent.
