GOLDEN CREEK can Overwhelm Andrew Reid's filly and win this; Good Timin' and Ganesa are newcomers to note in the betting. Ralph Beckett's $180,000 purchase made the running for much of his Ascot debut before tiring late on, but should have drawn plenty from that experience while the step down to five furlongs should also suit. This represents a drop in grade for the horse and it'll be disappointing if he can't prove too much for 71-rated Overwhelm. She's another who'll enjoy reverting to five furlongs having clung on for second over six at Kempton and she has shown enough to pick up a small race. Good Timin' is a half-brother to Group Three winning sprinter Moorhouse Lad and the yard have a 33% record with juveniles here (one winner from three runners), so with Paul Hanagan booked he's one to note in the market along with Ganesa. The latter may be suited by further in time but Marco Botti has his string in good order so he's not ruled out. Imperial Look is bred to make a two-year-old but evidence so far suggests he'll do better when handicapped and ready preference in this contest is for Golden Creek.
