A competitive nursery and MABAIT, off a 6lb higher mark to the one off which he achieved his first victory last time can land this. Having been slowly away at Haydock, Mabait showed a good attitude when required to knuckle down and battle, beating Dark Lane in the process, a juvenile that had shown a smart level of form previously. Diddums was not disgraced in a competitive sales race at Newmarket last time, racing on the far side, away from where the majority of the action unfolded. Flintlock did not enjoy the clearest of passages at Bath on his last start. Even so, things appeared to happening all too quick for him over the sharp five furlongs there and the step back up to six furlongs will undoubtedly suit. Joe Caster relishes getting his toe in and clearly is improving but how he will be suited by reverting to the artificial surface is the unknown. Mabait is selected to land it.
