Last time out winners Yorkshire Lad and Piddies Pride are sure to have their supporters in this three-year-old handicap but preference is for Lauren Louise, who should appreciate this longer trip on her debut in the grade. The selection stayed on without threatening the principals on her reappearance over six furlongs in a Lingfield maiden at the beginning of the month giving the impression that a step up in trip would suit. Entitled to improve for the run, it is interesting that David Loder comes here rather than take the opportunity of running in a maiden and she looks worth a punt off a low mark. Southwell nursery winner Tyrone Sam has run with credit a claimers in his last two starts but faces no easy task back in a handicap where he has to give weight away all round and of more interest is Yorkshire Lad. The son of Second Empire has shown improved form since being switched to the all-weather, landing a maiden here over six furlongs last time. Like the selection, he should do better over today's longer trip and has to be respected but has plenty of weight for what he has achieved. Savoy Chapel is becoming exposed, while Epitomise has more to do than when landing a Southwell seller last time and of more interest may be Piddies Pride. She too won a seller last time but was badly treated at the weights that day and won despite being forced wide into the straight. A 6lb penalty leaves her with more to do though and preference is for Lauren Louise, who is taken to make the most of what looks a favourable mark.
