      Verdict

      A small field but there is interest in this nursery and it chiefly concerns PETER'S GIFT and Whatyouwoodwishfor. The selection was the comfortable winner of a soft ground Musselburgh maiden last time over this trip and races from a 2lb lower mark here. Admittedly that was not a hot contest, but then nor is this and with the yard in form and bottom weight to carry we'll chance him. Whatyouwoodwishfor steps up in trip after a 6f Great Leighs win last time, in nursery company. A 3lb rise is far from insurmountable, and the step up in trip looks a plus, and he is a threat. Verinco has had some tough enough assignments in context and looked to appreciate the step up to 7f last time. He handles faster ground on turf and if that is any guide then we hope he can go well on this his first try on the Polytrack. Aladdin's Lamp should appreciate the drop in trip, although he looks to be in the grip of the assessor for now, while Tobond will probably be a leading player after showing good form so far and representing a yard that is flying. It's trappy, and we'll take Peter's Gift to score.
