Lady Diktat has been placed enough times to warrant consideration and Paul Cole's filly is the pick over Queen Tomyra, with Safirah perhaps bets of the rest. This should not take much winning, and on past form, Lady Diktat should be capable of making a successful handicap bow. Second to Twyla Tharp at Goodwood in May, it is surprising that she has not gone one better already on that run alone, and although only third at Chester last week, she should have the class to prevail in this company. Best of her rivals should be Queen Tomyra, successful over nine furlongs here last November, and second to Pagan Sword in a blanket finish at Lingfield in April. She was down the field on her return behind the useful Natalie Jane at Windsor in June and should appreciate the drop in grade enough to figure, although she might need yet another run to reach peak fitness. The tongue-tied Safirah looked pretty one-paced in an apprentice affair at Goodwood last time, but is in turn best of the remainder. All in all, Paul Cole appears to have found the perfect opportunity for Lady Diktat to get her head in front at last.
