Smartstarprincess and Blue Moon Hitman are both consistent types who deserve to take a prize of this nature but are likely to have to settle for a minor role again with Peters Choice fancied to give weight away all round. There was plenty to like about the way Ian Semple's gelding spread-eagled the field to win his maiden over course and distance last week and a mark of 67, plus a 7lb penalty for that win, looks fair. He holds more solid claims than another recent course winner Chikado, who looked to need every yard of the six-furlong trip when beating reliable yardstick Bookiesindexdotcom last time. Blue Power has given every indication in his running that the drop to the minimum trip would suit but Karl Burke's horses remain out of form, while Bond Romeo, from the in-form yard of Brian Smart, looks to have plenty of weight for what he has achieved. The consistent Emaradia is another worthy of a mention but the one that they all have to beat is Peters Choice, who is fancied to again make all.
