Verdict

Although Tor Sturgis hasn't had the best of seasons at this track she has had a good percentage of winners in the past here and stands a good chance with TRANSVESTITE in this race with Lyrical Intent hoping to return to form shown earlier this year, Resplendent Ace a fan of the trip and standard surface and Traphalgar having a good record over the years. Our selection is a previous course and distance winner and makes a return to the flat after some unconvincing runs over fences. The plus side to these efforts is that the stamina should be improved and if making the running in this race could benefit. Resplendent Ace has shown patchy form recently and is watched on this occasion. Lyrical Intent has had better runs over shorter trips and recently lost a distance behind Nayessence here, so we avoid him. Traphalgar has good looking statistics but returns after a break and for this seasonal bow we prefer to bypass him. In a tricky to call race we opt for Transvestite to score.
