A tight race to call and from a shortlist of FIRST SERVICE, Governor Elliot, King's Miracle and Charlie Oxo we will side with First Service. Roger Charlton's colt has only had the two runs but he has shaped with promise in both starts and he was entitled to need the run at Lingfield last month when he finished fourth behind Jonny Mudball. He should strip fitter today and he did stay on in eyecatching fashion. Governor Elliot was well beaten in a handicap last time and he has had a few chances. However, this should not take much winning and he does have a good low draw and Paul Hanagan doing the steering so he does make some appeal. Charlie Oxo has been off the track for two years so he is one to note in the market on his reappearance, and he tackles this longer trip for the first time today. King's Miracle shaped with promise on her debut at Lingfield and this slightly longer trip should suit. She hasn't been seen out since April though so her fitness has to be taken on trust. This looks a good opportunity for First Service who is taken to open his account.
