A moderate sprint where confidence in any is minimal but for the pick is CHEERY CAT with Colombard and Berrymead on the shortlist. The selection is well drawn tonight and while the drop in trip has to be of some concern, a decent apprentice has been booked and he does hold a number of these on a line of form from Lingfield. Colombard was one of those to finish in behind. The track has suited back runners of late so it would be no surprise to see Pat Morris' charge flying in at the death. Berrymead has been dropped down the weights and has to be respected. Bountiful Bay is from a yard that are having winners so a note must be made of his position in the market. Headache was initially tried over further but seems to be better suited by sprinting. This draw is no help to connections. Sandy Par invariably tends to excel himself against better opposition though seems incapable of beating similarly ordinary opposition. Roman Maze has been badly out of form and is best watched at present. Not a race to linger too long over and Cheery Cat has fewest negatives on balance.
