LEYTE GULF is the selection with Weybridge Light and Shanafarahan served up as the alternatives. The selection beat a decent field over course and distance last time out and probably could have won by further had the jockey actually posed him any questions. His yard specialise with staying types and the 4lb rise for that success does not appear harsh. Weybridge Light ran well for a long way at Lingfield Park. He probably does not quite get the two miles so this step down in trip seems wise. Shanafarahan has gone well for Jimmy Quinn in the past so the market has to be watched on this step up in trip. Aga Khan castoff, Karashar is a winning hurdler. He is yet to strike on the flat. Reg Hollinshead¿s horses are running well but Drawn Gold has struggled off similar marks in the past. Sheila¿s Castle proved disappointing over hurdles though she has shown a modicum of ability on an artificial surface in the past. Private Equity won a handicap over 1m4f but she had been exposed in plating company prior to that. Moonbeam Dancer has gone well for apprentice riders in the past and 7lb claimer, Laura Pike, takes the mount. Leyte Gulf is the call.
