Not an easy race to call and we will take a chance on SOUTHANDWEST to land the prize, while Justcallmehandsome and Rubenstar are among the dangers. The Stan Moore-trained pick won over today's course and distance in January of last year, when racing from a mark 4lbs higher than he does in this race. This is his optimum trip, he goes well when fresh, and the stable's runners are in decent form, so he gets the vote. Justcallmehandsome was resolute when challenged for the lead last time, holding off Fol Liam for a course and distance success. Now 5lbs higher for that win, he will find this a bit tougher, but he is in form and therefore feared. Rubenstar has run well here in defeat, including last time out, when he raced from the same mark as today. We can see him going close, but coming up just short and he seems to reserve his best for Lingfield. Kipchak goes well here but seems to be in the grip of the assessor for now, and Seasider may have better claims of making the frame with first-time headgear a potential plus and coming from a yard in decent form, but Southandwest is nominated.
