      Verdict

      Khatwah's winning run was brought to an abrupt halt when the Lope De Vega filly came home last of six at Chelmsford last month, albeit not disgraced in being beaten just three lengths in a decent field. She's down in grade here but the handicapper may just have got hold of her for the time being. In comparison, Amber Island is up a level for a narrow success over course and distance last time but still commands respect. However, NIGHT NARCISSUS hasn't got many miles on the clock, created a good impression when scoring here latest and the style of that success suggested that this additional furlong could well generate further progress.
