Idle Power lines up in good form at present and can complete a hat-trick, with Flint River and Chateau Nicol best of the opposition. Jim Boyle's six-year-old has made the most of a decent mark to rattle up wins at Lingfield and Goodwood this autumn and still has more to offer. His trainer reckons that he is a different animal to this time last year, as he now does not mind a battle, as proved by his win over Concer Eto two weeks ago. He is the one that they all have to beat here, although Flint River would have claims on his best form. Hughie Morrison's charge is also not badly weighted and handles a Polytrack surface. Chateau Nicol's recent win at Newbury came as a surprise to connections as he had been off since July and ran without his usual visor. The victory was achieved in a blanket finish though and it remains to be seen whether there is more improvement to come. Eccentric and Jay Gee's Choice are others worthy of a mention for place purposes, but Idle Power is a worthy favourite.
