Verdict

John Gosden's yard are in fine form at the moment and the St Leger winning trainer has a 36% strike-rate at the course this year. BIOGRAPHICAL represents for him after a solid third placed effort at Bath on debut. Assuming this $270,000 purchase is heading the right way, he can build upon that first outing and pick up his first win here. Punters may be shouting Holy Mackerel if Mick Channon's option wins but he is heading the right way with each run and he has more experience on his side. Bournefree and Jelyvator both showed little on debut whilst Punt Road hasn't developed in three runs so far. Jaridh is likely to be the biggest danger to our pick on debut. The market may be the best guide to his chances but without that to go on, his dam was a juvenile winner and Saeed bin Suroor's Godolphin runner should enter calculations.
