Shirley Blake ran three times on Polytrack at Dundalk at the backend of last year and started a short-priced favourite on the last two but was narrowly beaten in both. She has her first start on turf and makes her reappearance after a long lay-off so is best watched for now. Councilofconstance hasn't been showing much at the business end but the easier ground conditions may aid her cause while it's possible that Pluirin was feeling the fast ground when strongly fancied over 1m1f at the Curragh a month ago. The latter could only finish 6th behind Siul Alainn that day when PINNK, who has steadily improved this year, attempted to make all but was passed inside the final furlong suggesting she is ready to take this.
