Podgies Boy looked interesting after a debut second at Pontefract but failed to progress with his next run and despite being from a classy yard with their juveniles is watched here. Nine Before Ten was a place ahead of Podgies Boy at Redcar most recently and has the highest initial rating out of those who have been given them so far. Silver Turn might appreciate a further trip in time and the market will provide the best guide to her chances on debut. Clever Man runs for Mick Channon who has a 30% strike-rate here this year but needs to improve to take this race. HORTENSIS just gets the vote ahead of Insolenceofoffice. The selection was just headed towards the finish last time and with her dam a juvenile winner over this sort of trip and steadily improving with each run, she can take this race. Insolenceofoffice will be a danger after two reasonable efforts to date.
