NORTHERN FLYER had Peter's Gift and Ursus behind at Newcastle last time out and he is 4lb higher in the ratings as a result, so the losers on that occasion may close the gap. However, the vote goes the way of the John Quinn four-year-old as he looks to have found more since losing to Mr Chocolate Drop at Redcar in July. Mr Chocolate Drop is in good form at the moment with two close seconds on the all-weather and a win at Redcar on fast ground when last seen on the turf. He is 9lb higher on the turf though than that most recent win and a drop back in trip is questionable. So the vote goes to Northern Flyer.
