Stargazy is the safest option to get one off to a winning start with many of his rivals badly out of form. Welcome Approach, Lost All Alone and Piccolo Diamante are those that could prove the biggest threats to the selection. The winner of a claimer over the course earlier this year, Stargazy's form had tailed off following that victory but he indicated another victory might not be too far away with a third last time over seven furlongs. A high draw is the negative but being a hold up performer, it may not prove such a hindrance. Welcome Approach has been competing in better races than this of late and has a low draw also. He tends to drop himself out of contests before running on and could only be recommended as an each way bet on that basis. Lost All Alone is hindered by a high draw and will struggle to adopt his customary prominent position while Piccolo Diamante was noted staying on late in the day last time at Redcar and market support would make him of some interest. Rosie Cross has slipped to what appears an attractive mark but his recent form leaves something to be desired. A very modest contest to get proceedings underway and Stargazy is the selection.
