In depth

Verdict

Abel Tasman was well supported when scoring at Lingfield in March but has been at huge odds subsequently, including when catching the eye of the stewards at Lingfield. He's well handicapped at his best but the market is best watched. Eltham Palace has shown ability in both starts but Pearl Beach is 8lb higher than when scoring at Lingfield in August. Star Of Wells has pulled up over hurdles since a decent effort here but five-times track winner Star Ascending can never be left out of calculations. JACK RYAN landed a Yarmouth handicap on heavy going then didn't get the run of the race at Lingfield. He's had a run over hurdles subsequently and can get back on the winning trail.
