Verdict
RED KESTREL looks the most likely winner of what isn't the strongest race. Julie Burke continues to impress in the saddle and almost grabbed herself another win aboard Kevin Ryan's charge last time out, only for the pair to find one too good. A 2lb rise makes life tougher but he'd slipped a long way in the weights prior to that improved effort and a similar display should see him hard to beat. Ian Williams has his string in fine fettle so Dalhaan must be considered, particularly as he now finds himself rated 70 having started the season off 90. That's a reflection of his regression of course but first time cheek-pieces may have a positive effect and he's not to be ignored. Chocolate Caramel has something to prove so Stadium Of Light, representing last year's winning yard, is considered next best.
