Assuming that Rich Kid has thrived since his victory at Leicester in September, the Ron Harris-trained colt has been found a good opportunity to follow up here; Marino Prince and Hurstpierpoint are obvious dangers and should be monitored in the betting market. Hurstpierpoint has been running consistently since switching to the All Weather tracks and his experience of the surface is a big plus in this company. This is the right grade for the mount of Tony Hamilton and a big effort can be anticipated. Marino Prince showed very little in three maidens before winning a course and distance seller nine days ago. This is not much tougher and, with Jack Dean's 7lb claim helping the cause, it is not unfeasible for the son of Dr Fong to play a leading role. His trainer, Bill Turner, does well with this type of animal so he should not be underestimated. However, Rich Kid has taken on much stronger opponents in his four previous races and, having held court over a 77-rated opponent when he was last seen out; a simple repeat does would be good enough for the son of Spartacus to score again this afternoon.
