A celebration of mediocrity here and the most tentative of votes goes to Mission Impossible ahead of Heron. The selection was well-thought of at home and made a very pleasing debut when only going down by a short-head at Beverley. He then ran ok in defeat on his next two starts but has been very disappointing since including when upped in trip. He is now tried over the minimum trip once again in the hope of sparking a revival, and so from a good draw we will take him to oblige. Heron is the highest-rated in the field ad connections come here rather than tackling handicap company off a mark of 71. You would be hard-pressed to say that his form is rock solid, but he has shown enough to suggest that he could take a poor race such as this one. Warners Bay is unexposed after two starts but he didn't seem to progress from first to second runs although this may be too early to write him off. Hucking Harkness looks the more likely of the two newcomers and needs a check in the betting, whilst Lambrini Lace has solid claims on the pick of her form and is certainly most at home over this trip. A very open contest and assuming he doesn't self destruct, Mission Impossible can cruise to victory.
