General Feeling gets the vote over Regal Dream and The City Kid, with Ermine Grey and Attacca best of the remainder. General Feeling has been sliding down the weights, now residing on a mark some two-stone lower than two years ago. Aided by a tongue-tie of late, he has been showing signs of a return to form, and nearly came good at Carlisle just over three weeks ago. We feel that it can pay to side with the gelding, who looks for career win number six. Regal Dream is another that has been out of form for current connections, but he too is coming down the weights, and went close at Chester. The City Kid is an all-weather specialist, but has been racing over longer trips of late, and will have to quickly adapt, while Ermine Grey seems to appreciate easy conditions on Turf to be seen to best effect. Attacca beat Digital at Musselburgh in July, and although the latter is not a reliable yardstick, he himself has won since to boost the form somewhat, so the John Weymes-trained six-year-old is added to the equation. However, the pin comes down on General Feeling.
