In race four, War Of The Roses is selected ahead of Saameq and, possibly, Bowl Of Cherries. An improved effort when stepped up to 12 furlongs for the first time at Lingfield last time brings War Of The Roses into this race in good heart and he looks to be the one to beat. With Bowl Of Cherries yet to prove he fully stays this far, and Master Nimbus lacking all-weather experience - although he is not badly-weighted based on his Redcar 2006 win, course and distance winner Saameq could be one to go well even though he lacks a recent run, as it should be noted that that win referred to came after a break. Finally, if blinkers perk up Proud Scholar, he cannot be ruled out based on some bits of form from earlier in the year. For the selection, though, we will stick with War Of The Roses.
