In depth

Verdict

Reversionary has been enjoying his Southwell ventures this winter and he is taken to win on his Wolverhampton debut, Simply The Guest and Risk Free look to be the main rivals. Mick Easterby's gelding finished second to Shifty over the mile trip last time. He was staying on at the one pace and should be well suited by this extra distance. Simply The Guest enjoyed the step up in trip and returned to winning ways in great style at Southwell last week, easily beating Regency Red. This race may be slightly stronger but he will be difficult to keep out of the frame. Risk Free won well over course and distance last month and is weighted to go very close again today. Best of the others could be Cicatrice, but if Reversionry handles this different surface he will be very hard to beat
