    Verdict

David Nicholls has his All Weather string firing well at the moment and his Ballybunion is expected to be capable of giving weight and beating to the likes of his former stablemate Smirfy's Party and the frustrating Henry Tun, who won a modest handicap here just over a fortnight ago but has more to do a 3lb higher mark. Added to that is his tendency to throw in the odd stinker and he remains one for the brave only. Davids Mark is always dangerous to rule out in this sort of company, as he has run several good races in defeat since the start of the AW campaign. He won off 61 on the turf as a three-year-old so is feasibly well treated at present. However, he does tend to find little off the bridle and his rider will have to kid him along to keep him interested. By way of contrast, Ballybunion usually likes an end-to-end gallop and will be winding up for a challenge inside the distance marker. The drop back to the minimum trip is not an issue with the six-year-old and Nicholl's charge is fancied to be too tough for this lot today.
