Aliabad can land a very modest event with Ireland's Eye and Unleaded seen as the biggest dangers. The selection has at least won a couple of races, although they were 14-furlong events at Southwell two-and-a-half years ago. Much as his recent Flat form is hardly inspiring, he comes here in fairly good heart from some hurdles runs and could go well in a low-grade affair. Hurdles winner Ireland's Eye finished third behind Paddy Mul at Southwell six days ago and should be competitive for a place. Using Kagoshima as a form guide, If you factor in Maraud's rider's claim then Maraud and Ireland's Eye are closely weighted under the terms of today's contest. Similarly, The Last Mohican has six lengths to find on Unleaded based on their course and distance runs on 3 January, although Keith Dalgleish now takes over from an apprentice on the former. Overall, then, in what is low-class fare, Aliabad is given as the selection.
