        Verdict

        The Geester looks the pick in this race with Desert Hunter and Oh Gracious Me offered as the alternatives. Roy Bowring's representative gained due reward for a series of solid efforts when taking a recent event at Southwell but he has run well at Dunstall Park in the past and he can make hay before the handicapper strikes. Micky Hammond's horses haven't been too far away so Desert Hunter makes some appeal. He found five on the sharp side and was not disgraced over six under this rider last time out. Oh Gracious Me was handicapped over further trips than this. He showed a modicum of speed at Southwell and cannot be discounted here. Southwell specialist, Zorn, attempts to make the switch. Avoca Dancer has ran consistently since the turn of the year while confirmed front-runner Murrisk is another to note if the market speaks in his favour. Prettilini is reunited with Kirsty Milczarek this evening. Not a strong race and The Geester has been presented with an obvious chance of a follow up.
