Ducal Regency Red, Melandre and White Ledger look the trio to concentrate upon and we are with Ducal Regency Red. Granted, she won off an abysmally low mark at Kempton but she did beat one or two battle hardened sprinters on the night and if she can transfer that form to this circuit, there is every chance of a quick follow up. Melandre is taking a drop in class. Mel Brittain's mare has been a tad disappointing of late but it is worth noting that she has faced much stronger opposition than this in the past. White Ledger has a fair draw and a good rider booked. A win ratio of 1-23 is not one that will have you scampering to bet him blind but he is much better than his recent form suggests. Beechside did not show a lot on all-weather debut and is opposed. Now You See Me has ran creditably in claimers against better opposition and could be best of the rest. Ducal Regency Red has fewer negatives than most in this field and gets the vote accordingly.
