In depth

Verdict

Dream Mountain looks the pick in the finale, with Colmar Supreme, Mujelle and Almowj seen as the main dangers. Dream Mountain probably did not act on the testing ground when well beaten at Doncaster on his last Turf outing. He really got into his stride when winning at Newcastle the time before, so much so that Kevin Darley had trouble pulling him up, and a reproduction of that effort on this faster Polytrack should be enough. Having been beaten on her first seven starts, Colmar Supreme was given an enterprising ride by Richard Hughes when landing a Brighton maiden in October, and although that form is nothing special, she can give the selection a race back in nursery company if able to get out quickly. Mujelle is still a maiden but has bits and pieces of placed form, and Almowj did not respond to first-time blinkers at Lingfield so now has cheekpieces fitted. Maybe they will inspire him, but in any case we expect Dream Mountain to quickly bounce back and gain his second career win.
