Turn Around can follow up last year's success, with Blue Empire, Sir Francis and Fulvio out to stop him. Turn Around was trained by Barry Hills when winning the corresponding event 12 months ago, and that was his first success since October 2002. He joined his current yard after scoring subsequently at Southwell last June and came good on his third outing of the year at Southwell last month. He was not stopping at the end of the six furlongs, and should make a bold bid here. Blue Empire won a claimer over nine furlongs here in April but made no show in a better race at Brighton at the end of last month. This ease in class will help his cause as well. Sir Francis was a decent handicapper a few years ago and is still well handicapped, although he has not won for over two years. Fulvio has won three of his last five starts, including twice here, but he is only Banded class at best. Mind you, this is a poor race, so he has a right to be involved for a place at least. Turn Around has no more to do than last year though and will be a popular choice.
