    Verdict

Beaten favourite last time FREE THINKER gets the vote to redeem himself against Dialogue and Northern Tour. After going close in a lower class two runs ago he stepped up well to improve again last time out at Great Leighs to finish placed. He was a bit one-paced in the finish but has more than enough ability to land a contest of this standard. Mark Johnston's Dialogue will also have claims here after a decent start to his career. The colt landed a Lingfield race two starts ago before finding a step up in class too much when eighth in the Racing Post Nursery. He is more than useful on this surface and the handler's horses are running well. Northern Tour has taken to racing well for trainer Paul Cole and has already chalked up two wins in four starts. He was by no means disgraced on his last outing when third in better company than this but he found the six furlong trip a little too short. The step up in distance and down in class will do his chances no harm but we fancy Free Thinker to just take it. (Jamie Watson)
