We'll take COOL SANDS to land this six-furlong handicap with recent winners Shakespeare's Son and Littledodayno also on the short list. The selection is able to act on both fibresand and polytrack and races over his optimum trip here. A Southwell winner last time out, he remains below his last winning polytrack mark in spite of a rise in the weights, he is in good heart, and he has a good draw, so he looks the one to be on. Shakespeare's Son attempts to give weight and a beating to the other dozen and has to defy a 6lb penalty for a five furlong fibresand win last time. He is also effective over six furlongs, but his form on this surface to date has not convinced and with a poor draw we will oppose. Littledodayno is 5lb higher than when winning over C&D last time and has struggled to win from this high in the past, so as he is another with an ordinary draw we'll take him on. Hamaasy seems to prefer the fibresand and returns to this from claiming company, stablemate Back In The Red has to prove he truly gets this trip, while Ryedane has a chance of reversing form with Littledodayno and looks a better proposition than many in spite of his draw. Cool Sands is the one for us here.
