Siberian Tiger showed plenty of promise on his Haydock debut but Mick Channon's colt may have to settle for minor honours again here and a better bet looks to be Cosmic Art, with L'Art du Silence rated the pick of the remainder. The selection ran promisingly on his Lingfield debut over the minimum trip and stepped up on that when chasing home Ellemujie over this trip at Kempton subsequently. A reproduction of that should suffice. Cobo Bay may do better on this surface than on the testing ground at Ripon on his first start, while Black Duke improved from his first start to his second but needs to improve again to trouble the judge. Distant Noble lost no caste in defeat at Yarmouth last time but that was only a seller and this looks tougher so a bigger threat may come from L'Art du Silence, who has shown decent form until disappointing last time. Cosmic Art has solid claims on form though and he looks the one to be on.
