Gordon Elliott typically seeks to strike whilst the iron is hot with Saturday's handicap winner here in FACE VALUE. He scored with something to spare and clearly appreciated being upped in trip although he should not be inconvenienced by the drop back to a mile and half here. He can defy a 6lb penalty. Jimmy Fortune was in the plate on Saturday but now partners Ay Ay Tate on whom he rode a canny race to land a tight Lingfield seller last time. This looks a tougher test off topweight though and Land Hawk could be a bigger threat if handling this first-ever step-up to twelve furlongs as he's been in good form of late in fair contests. Dream Catcher is a rare Flat runner for the O'Neill team and teams up with Hayley Turner. The combination scored over a much longer trip here in December and will no doubt set out to maximise assured stamina over this significantly shorter trip.
