Verdict
In a race that should not take much winning, Lord Melbourne is the pick over Repeat and Just Wiz. Bought from Jamie Osborne after gaining his first success in two years at Lingfield in January, Lord Melbourne repaid Alan Jukes' judgement immediately when coming from an impossible looking position to follow up here four days ago. That was over six furlongs but he will be much more comfortable back over this sort of trip and is the one to beat. Repeat is always going to be a threat when dropped to this level as is the case today. Fourth to Caroubier in claiming company at Southwell last time, Gaye Kelleway's charge can give the selection most to do. Just Wiz gained his last success in claiming company here over a year ago and will appreciate the return here after being taken off his feet on Lingfield's Polytrack 10 days ago. Apart from Iamback, the rest make little appeal, and Lord Melbourne looks the one to beat.
