Verdict

Master Role caught the eye on his return to action last month and is selected over Bond Moonlight and Golden Quest, with Ismahaan an interesting newcomer to the Flat. The latter was made favourite for his bumper debut at Musselburgh last month but trailed in down the field despite having Tony McCoy on board. He is reckoned to be useful but the market will tell us more. However, he does take on a couple of more experienced individuals here, with Master Role given the nod. Michael Jarvis does not run them on the all-weather unless they can pay their way and this son of Master Willie should soon do that judged on his second over an extended nine furlongs here last month. That was his first outing since last October when he was trained in Ireland, and he should appreciate the step up in trip. Bond Moonlight was unlucky to come up against Dispol Veleta at Southwell when sent off favourite recently, and should also go well. The trip is a worry though as he is not bred to stay, and as Golden Quest has an absence to overcome, he is best watched. Without being a world-beater, Master Role looks the percentage call.
