In depth

Verdict

A low-key finale in which the likes of Golden Fountain. Full Speight and Bank Holiday could all be reasonably expected to improve on previous efforts in this modest contest. The market may prove helpful in this respect but DARK PHOENIX is preferred, albeit not with the greatest of conviction. He's finished last in two of his last four starts but his penultimate run when a game winner at Kempton reads well here. It really all depends which version of the Cole colt turns up. Isobar Wind is respected off topweight with Laura Pearson claiming a valuable 7lb and it wouldn't be the greatest surprise if Queen Of Silca is better than was the case last time.
