Red Jasper scored a pretty remarkable success at Newcastle just five days ago when coming home a most comfortable winner despite having missed the break to the tune of about 10 lengths. He eventually scored by just under three lengths and appears an improved performer on that evidence who should prove hard to overcome if more co-operative at the start. Pink Jazz has to be of interest for the raiding Gordon Elliott yard and has a course win to his name already, whilst Limaro Prospect is clearly getting his act together for Sir Mark Prescott and looks a danger. However, SEVENTEEN O FOUR (NAP) displayed considerable improvement on handicap debut when a close Lingfield third recently and seems sure to progress further, with the drop back to 7f also expected to be a plus.
