In depth

Verdict

Never Dark finished ahead of Mount Mogan on their respective debuts in early December but it was the latter who showed greater improvement on their most recent outings. There should be little between them and both have solid claims, especially with no fitness concerns about either. FURQAAN concedes plenty of weight to the three-year-olds but showed plenty to work with last season for his new yard of Ian Williams. Interestingly dropped to 6f for the first time, market confidence would be noteworthy. He's worth a shot against the aforementioned pair. And keep an eye on Godfather, not seen since last June when showing definite promise at York. He should do better as a three-year-old whatever his fate here.
