In depth

Verdict

Supreme Salutation has been in great form in claiming and selling company and now takes a step up in class. He is well suited by this course and distance and should make another bold bid but will find life tougher here. The vote goes to Crusoe who races under a six pound penalty for a win over course and distance last time out. Crusoe perhaps hasn't won the races he should and does need everything to fall right but he is well weighted at present and after a series of efforts over seven furlongs he is now back racing over his optimum trip. Blue Mystique was a winner over this course and distance in December but has disappointed on two runs since and may remain best watched at present. Inchcoonan was in great form last winter and consequently suffered at the hands of the handicapper. He is back on a winning mark now and only threw his chance away last time by edging left in the closing stages. Another bold run can be expected and he is the big danger to the selection. Gilden Magic's win last time out came out of the blue, however that was a very poor race and is well worth opposing now.
