New England gets the nod over Pending, with Bridgewater Boys and Priorina expected to take a hand in proceedings. The finale has a fairly wide-open look to it, with only a narrow verdict going the way of New England who can gain reward for consistency. Mark Brisbourne's charge has been more comfortable since returning to this Polytrack surface, beating Danettie just after Christmas and going down narrowly on each of his last two starts. He will surely be bang in there at the finish again. Pending has topweight but showed up well at Southwell last time, finishing runner-up in in an amateur riders' event despite losing ground at the start. Bridgewater Boys was back in fourth then and looks held, while Priorina has yet to prove that she handles this surface. They appear to be the main contenders, with New England the pick of them.
