Davids Mark gets the vote ahead of Lady Hopeful, Jalouhar and Desert Light. There are plenty in with chances here, including Davids Mark who has the assistance of Eddie Ahern. The John Jenkins inmate has failed to score since August 2004 when successful at Windsor, but went close last time in a Banded race over the track-and-trip, with Desert Light right behind. They meet on the same terms here and we take the placings to be maintained. Davids Mark just needs a bit more improvement to land this, and as this will be the fourth time in a row that Ahern has ridden him, the Irishman will know just what is required. Topweight Lady Hopeful was back in sixth last time but has since bounced back to gain a third course win here seven days ago. She has yet to score over six furlongs but at least lines up in a bit of form. Jalouhar gets on well with Sonia Eaton and has been very consistent in the main so is another to consider, and only a tentative vote goes to Davids Mark.
