    Verdict

We'll give another chance here to Leonora Truce with Qobtaan, Maggie's Pet and Eurolink Artemis seen as the biggest dangers. The selection has proven very consistent for Bobby Elliot and will not have many better chances of winning. Already a course and distance winner, she holds solid claims. Qobtaan has been knocking at the door in similar events over the last couple of months and should be competitive again. Proud Victor was behind him when they met last time and is now four pounds worse off. Pageant is well weighted on the best of his form but has been beaten here in sellers, although this, of course, is not a strong race by any stretch of the imagination. Newclose is well-bred and should have improvement in him, but he has shown little to date. Maggie's Pet is another that has to be considered on the best of her form. Mabel Riley won a Southwell seller in January but has shown very little recently, while a repeat of Wilson Bluebottle's Hamilton fourth in July would give him a chance. Sophomore has actually won on the Flat but it was three years ago and he is 10 now, and a bigger threat to the selection should come from Eurolink Artemis, who has plenty of placed form to her name and ought to be competitive at this level. But we are happy to stick with Leonora Truce.
